Last night, Sherri gave me a pointer on how to enter the butterfly, and this other instructor (I think the director of the figure skating school) came up to us and said "what, are you teaching him the butterfly?" Sherri explained that I had been working on it for several weeks now, and this other instructor proceeded to say "well, there are other ways to do it" and tried to demonstrate something that I certainly don't think I'm ready to do yet. I don't think she worked on that move in a while, though, because the demonstration was a pretty half-hearted attempt.

It's weird, how much I'm looking forward to showing my frightening-looking butterfly attempts to Sherri tonight. Back to work..

I think I've written more code in the past two days than I have in the past two years. No, actually that's an exaggeration, made simply for the small mental pleasure of writing a parallel structure in the sentence. But I have written a lot of code. I feel like my life has turned into a programming competition.
